After playing guitar hero for 2 days i have decided to set myself the UN realistic target to play the below song within 2 months. I have the tabs as shown in the video and timing.. all i need is practice... I don't really see how i can fail???
i'll post the results in 1 month
What a relief, finally passed my CCNA after months of hard work. I can understand why the training courses are so expensive, it would have saved me so much more time if someone stood in front of a class explaining things. Now that stage 1 is over its onto the next which is the Sun Solaris cert. Lets see if i can pass it within the month.
2. Church: I have a funny relationship with churches. Since I was raised a Jehovah's Witness the inside of different churches is absolutely alien to me. Whenever I find myself in one, I can feel the teeny part of me say "I am not supposed to be here" I feel like I am breaking the rules. Speaking of breaking the rules in church I accidentally dropped the F bomb inside of that holy house. I was not struck by lightening, I think God allowed me that because I am physically in between the feuding mother and daughter. God understood I was tense. Thanks God. ;-) You know, just in case God reads my blog.
3. the Girl: she was so hyper and sassy yesterday. It hurts my head to watch her this way. Funny enough, her mother was acting the same way. sigh.... head hurts more
5. Denise: She was originally going to just be a fly on the wall and snap shots of the weeding but after the other gal decided to up the price, she became the head photographer. I am happily letting her take over. This woman has more neergy than I think I have ever had. seriously! Ha! She fit in well with the rest of the group, she did not even flinch when shown a photo on SIL's phone of her own boobs. Yes, SIL keeps a photo in her phone of her own rack. and shows people. It is a huge family joke, she never wears a bra. NEVER..... and she wears thin tank tops. I will stop now.
7. The Boys side: This is what I will see on Saturday. I will look over at Mr. Lavender lovingly and hear vows similar to the ones we made to each other 11 years ago to the day. Saturday is not only the wedding, but Our wedding anniversary as well. People find this strange, like I should be offended or something. I just hope that the 19th is a lucky date, and it continues to be lucky for the new couple as well as it has worked for us. Mr. Lavender looks so cute in his vintage western shirt.
8. Practice Run: The happy couple. If he looks at her like this and shows any sign of emotion, I am going to cry. A Lot. I am washing 7 vintage hankies for all us gals so we can wipe away our tears.
9. Remember to not lock my knees! I am nearvous about standing so long in those high heels. I am afraid I am going to fall or faint. If I do, this is what I will see above me. The Ceiling.
11. The Bar: The wedding party then went to a bar for drinks. There were shots and beer and girly foofy drinks. I had water. I do not drink, it never settles well. The music was so loud and it was top 40 type rap. I have not been at a "club" that plays this kind of music since the running man was still okay to do on the dance floor. There was also Kareoke, I spelled that wrong I just know it. Here is Mr. Lavender showing his appreciation for the singer on the stage behind him. There was also another gal who sang, she was an obvious smoker since age two. Also her pants were SOOOOO tight that is smoothed out her camel toe and made her belly button look like a butt crack about 6 inches long. Something tells me that just because you can zip (I am baffled at how this happened) a size 3 pant, does not mean you should wear said size 3 pant. She seriously had to wrestle those on, had to take hours to do! still quite baffled.
13. The night ended with a hug from Mr. L to the new BIL. Good Times!

The Boryeong Mud Festival is an annual festival which takes place during the summer in Boryeong, South Korea. Now the annual event is underway and drawing a whole bunch of photographers snapping pictures of big-noses cavorting away - most of the participants are foreign tourists. See Chosun Ilbo's gallery photos as below. They also took a rare Koreans-only photo!

Yoo Ye-eun, who was born blind and adopted in 2002, has never had a formal piano lesson but can play any song after just one listen.
The video opens with the gifted youngster being lifted up to the piano seat by the show's host, before settling down to play.
Ye-eun's adoptive mother, Park Jung Soon, said: 'She has perfect pitch even though she has never learnt to play. We never taught her.'

In May she performed a duet of 'You Raise me Up' with seven-year-old British singer Connie Talbot, who last year starred in reality show Britain's Got Talent.
After taking part in the national celebrations for Korea Day, the five-year-old's rise to fame continued last week with a performance in front of the Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong.
The youngster has been dubbed 'a five-year-old genius Mozart' and her performances have led to many offers, including one from doctors who tried but failed to restore her sight.
Video description: As she was introduced, a squeaky voice could be heard asking "where's the piano" and the camera panned down to reveal the doll-like Ye-eun searching for her seat. Audience members, including the Korean boy band Super Junior, were reduced to tears as Ye-eun's stubby fingers groped for the right keys and she sang "You Were Born to be Loved" -
Ye-eun, whose act includes classics from such composers as Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin, practices every day on a piano donated by the Super Junior boys while listening to music on the internet. Asked by Reuters what she wants to be when she grows up she replied: "A pianist. A great pianist."
"She can play the piano after listening to a song once," said her adoptive mother, Park Jung Soon. Mrs Park says she discovered her daughter's talent two years ago when she was singing a pop tune and Ye-eun began playing along on a borrowed piano. "She has perfect pitch even though she has never learnt to play."

just a plain flat shape

1.print 16 model release forms for the friend who is helping shoot SIL's wedding, make sure all are signed for her.
2. print off photos for class tonight illustrating the change of aperture (sherry? Did you get your homework done?)
3. go to the store to pick up black ink for the printer
4. continue epic battle against the evil and slightly damp dirty laundry monster, I gave it a few huge blows yesterday, lets see how well it survives today!
5. put together the portrait I took of BIL and SIL for the reception hall
There is a new Chinese chief/ TV presenter on BBC 2 hoping to induce the masses to great Chinese food. The name of the messiah is Ching-He Huang from Taiwan. Now regardless of her credentials she is destined to be slated within the Chinese community for being a fake!. It's the same with Chinese and Italians, everyone is a critic when it comes to food they always know best regardless how qualifed the person who cooked the dam meal is. I can just imagine the legions of people chinese in the UK shouting at the TV at every oppotunity to discredit her style weither it's "the wok is not hot enought" or its "that's not even chinese food she's cooking".
Generally the same reaction is served whenever a certain age of chinese person sees any french or gorument cooking. Chinese food is judged on a different critearia, it first must be enought to FEED your belly FULL, also it must be done at SPEED and they must be plenty of source and dominnating flavour. ( i.e its either hot or spice or some dominant flavour or not, there is no "hint" of this or a "dashing of flavour " of that. Think on or off.)
I like chinese food but i really can't see the artistry in it when you walk into the kitchen and the chief is cooking your food with a huge wok and a ladle that could double as a walking stick.
What i really made me POO POO ms Huang was this extract from profile on the BBC .. see below
"
She was taught the basic philosophy behind Chinese cuisine (the
emphasis on balancing ying and yang through 'hot' and 'cold'
ingredients), but then was left to improvise by herself
"
" ying and yang"??? we call that MSG in chinese LOL
